Goals
PMI Frankfurt Chapter e.V. (PMIFC) is based on the purpose defined in §2 of its incorporation document (Satzung).

§ 2 Purpose of Association
The Association promotes project management in research and teaching, professional application of project management, and educational activities in this field. The objectives of the Association are support of education, furthering professional qualifications, and professionalism in project management, as well as offering an open forum for discussion and analysis of problems, solutions, applications, and ideas in the project management environment.
The purpose shall be implemented, but not exclusively, through
- Regular meetings, open to the public, in order to exchange experiences in project management as well as organization of presentations on project management
- Support of interested parties for professional qualification with their preparation for certification in project management and support through the forming of learning groups
- Information on project management with appropriate media
In addition to that purpose PMIFC has signed a Chartering Agreement with PMI and also has adapted Bylaws (Vereinsordnung) which were formulated and put in place with the approval of PMI.

PMIFC’s goals and strategy are reviewed in our annual 2-days strategy meeting.
Currently (2003) these goals include:
- Enhance PMIFC Activities
- Enhance activities and benefits for PMIFC members
- Enhance attractivity of PMIFC, also to press, other associations, etc.
- Enhance number of members and retain existing members (in 2004, PMIFC should have 500 members)
- Put web presence in place
- Measure and enhance satisfaction of members and interested parties
- Enhance presence (Media, Universities, Enterprises, GPM, etc.)
- Enhance and widen Committee work, get tangible results
- Look for Sponsors, advertisements, support by companies
- enhance PMIFC Products (Prep Program, Committee Results, Award Program)
- Strive for a Representation of PMI Chapter Members in Germany
- Establish Administrative Support
- Enhance and widen PMP/CAPM Prep Program
- Adapt PMIFC organization and processes to necessities (members, programs)
Activities
PMIFC’s activities, open to everyone include
- Regular local meetings in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Dresden
- Monthly electronic newsletter to all interested parties
