The PMI Frankfurt Chapter starts the New Year with exciting news! On Friday, March 5, PMI Frankfurt will organize a high-level one day Project Management Event and host the world known PM guru Dr. Harold Kerzner in the beautiful Hotel Hilton Frankfurt followed by three parallel workshops of choice.
Dr. Kerzner will provide his unique insights on:
- The growth of a new breed of project managers
- How the definition of project success has evolved and placed even great empasis on benefits and value measurements
- An increased need for Project Managers to be adept at navigating a wide range of influcencing factors such as politics, religion, virtual teams, and resources with multiple levels of capabilities.

Dr. Harold Kerzner
Dr. Harold Kerzner (M.S., Ph.D., and M.B.A) is Executive Director at International Institute for Learning (IIL) and Adjunct Faculty of Systems Management at Baldwin-Wallace College, where he specializes in the areas of project management, strategic planning and total quality management. Dr. Kerzner previously taught engineering at the University of Illinois and business administration at Utah State University. He obtained his industrial experience at Thiokol Corporation where he held both program management and project engineering responsibilities on a variety of NASA, Air Force, Army, Navy and independent IR&D programs.

Workshops
Workshop 1: “Empower Project Teams”. Ralf Friedrich will talk about Elective Leadership which is an innovative approach to empower project teams in electing their project leader. It is a spin-off of a research on virtual software development team performance estimates. During the workshop, participants will assess their virtual leader profile. Also the steps of "Elective Leadership" will be presented. After the workshop, participants can contribute in an experiment and may eventually claim 10 PDU’s in category 4 and up to 15 PDU’s in category 2SDL, thus maximum up to 25.
Workshop 2: "Tame the Pack". Volker Gottwald will lead this interactive workshop where you will learn more about successful stakeholder management in practical exercises. You will meet some real exciting stakeholders. Experiance how DISC-assessment and other tools can help to end up with supportive partners in your project.
Workshop 3: "Risk and Opportunity Management". Dr. Wilhelm Kross will provide insights on how to gain competitive advantage by advancing project risk management in real life organizations.
This one day event will be an excellent opportunity to hear the most famous expert in the field of Project Management, to take part at a workshop that will extend your expertise in one of the given topics, to network with pals, and to receive a total of 6 PDUs!
