PMIFC 8.7.2010 -
Risk management = Chance management, especially in this current times where it brings about a balance in the Economic and Financial market crisis. Lately, Market players seem to have acknowledged that risk management is to be comprehensively looked into and it is an essential indicator for the stability of an organisation.
Another reason for a comprehensive consideration of risk management is the quick market changes, which requires the organisation of more project oriented actions. In achieving the project objectives, an absence of project management knowledge makes risks prevention unavoidable.
Such a basis leads to the failure of the project. Thus risk management is known to be an essential successful factor in projects. Risks belong to projects as air to breathing.
Therefore, risks and risk management are not any more just an attribute of organisational activities or a past-related failure analysis for preventing future wrong decisions rather it is an integral success factor in projects.
In summary, project management gives a basis for a comprehensive consideration of risk management, which is an essential component to operate successfully in business.
